Garrett County is committed to enhancing the safety and efficiency of our roadways for all users. We are seeking public comments on the Draft Local Roadway Safety Plan (LRSP), which outlines strategies to reduce traffic-related fatalities and injuries and improve overall roadway safety.
Plan Overview:
The Garrett County LRSP addresses critical areas such as:
- Reducing roadway departures and head-on collisions on high-risk roads
- Tackling unique safety issues in rural, mountainous communities
- Addressing speeding, aggressive, and distracted driving
- Protecting vulnerable roadway users, including pedestrians and cyclists
