I was born and raised in Garrett County. I have spent the entirety of my life living, working, and advocating for this community. I currently reside in McHenry, near Deep Creek Lake, with my wife and children Weston and Ada. I have chosen to live here for my first 40 years, and I don't foresee any changes with that decision.
I am a 2000 graduate of Northern Garrett High School. I started my career after high school in the trades as a carpenter. In 2001 I was involved in an ATV accident that left me paralyzed and would continue my life's journey from a wheelchair. The only reason I mention this is because it is what led me to the path of County Commissioner. I remained in the trades doing small jobs of auto body repair until I decided to start a business doing sign work. In this business I operate everything from top to bottom, sales, ordering, design, manufacturing, book work and all that entails.
Later in life I decided it was time for my voice to be heard. I became an advocate for accessible outdoor recreation in Garrett County. With the help of elected officials, we were able to accomplish some of the first of its kind of structures in our region (if not the nation) to assist disabled members in outdoor recreation. It was this combined with my business experience that led me to run for the Office of County Commissioner.
I will always be grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working for the citizens of Garrett County to continue to move our county in a positive direction.
