The Document Garrett County Junkyard Ordinance (3.46 MB) was originally adopted on November 6, 1978. This ordinance deals with licensing of established junkyards and the enforcement of junkyard violations. Anyone storing or keeping junk occupying an area of 1,000 square feet within visual sight of any public roadway must obtain a license. This includes junked and partially dismantled vehicles.
