Facilities & Maintenance Division
The Garrett County Facilities and Maintenance Department is responsible for the Maintenance and Custodial services of County owned facilities and oversee's the County's Energy Conservation Team.
The Maintenance Division is responsible for routine maintenance and repair, preventative maintenance, design/remodeling, major renovations and Capital Improvement Projects. This includes, plumbing, electrical, interior and exterior lighting, signage, heating and cooling (HVAC) systems, snow removal, landscaping, mowing, etc.
The Custodial Division provides cleaning services for County owned facilities.
The Energy Conservation Team was established in August 2012 when the new Energy Conservation Plan was adopted by the Garrett County Commissioners. This Team consists of representatives from 9 County Departments working together to help the County become more energy efficient and reduce energy consumption.
