The Garrett County Draft 2022 Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan (LPPRP) has been developed in accordance with guidelines provided by the Maryland Departments of Planning and Natural Resources. The updated Plan contains key information, goals and recommendations to guide the County’s management and enhancement of its parks, recreation facilities and open space assets for the next five years.
The Draft Plan can be found on the County’s website on May 19, 2022. Comments can be made via email to swigfield@garrettcounty.org, until June 9, 2022.
A brief presentation of the plan and a public hearing will take place on June 1, 2022 at 1:30pm at the
Frederick A. Thayer III Courthouse - Administrative Building203 South Fourth Street, Commissioners' Meeting Room, Oakland, MD 21550 during the regularly scheduled Garrett County Planning Commission Meeting.
