The Garrett County Office of Emergency Management has issued a travel advisory for February 16, 2025 at 6:15pm.
Winter weather conditions have deteriorated and are creating significant travel disruptions. This advisory will remain in place until winds and blizzard conditions subside.
We urge everyone to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary travel. Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you become stranded, stay in your vehicle and call 911 or #77.
If travel is essential, ensure your vehicle is winter-ready with proper tires, emergency kits, and cold weather supplies.
We will update this status when conditions improve.
