The heaviest snow has moved through the area. Note: there will be some heavy bands of snow come through Garrett County this evening and travel could still be difficult with increasing winds.
The Garrett County Office of Emergency Management is issuing a travel advisory for January 19, 2025 at 1:30pm.
Current winter weather conditions have deteriorated and are creating significant travel disruptions. Heavy snow is forecasted into the night; 10-12 inches of snow are expected.
We urge everyone to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary travel. If travel is essential, ensure your vehicle is winter-ready with proper tires, emergency kits, and cold weather supplies.
