Commissioner Paul Edwards Installed as a 2024 MACo Board Member

The Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) is pleased to announce the installation of the 2024 Board of Directors and Officers.

On Thursday evening, December 7, 2023, the Governor of Maryland, Wes Moore, installed the MACo Board of Directors for 2024. The installation took place at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Hotel in Cambridge, Maryland, during the MACo Winter Conference Inaugural Banquet.

Chairman Paul C. Edwards of Garrett County was installed along with his peers as a 2024 MACo Board Member. Chairman Edwards is beginning his second term on MACo’s Board, having been elected to that position by the MACo membership, which encompasses elected officials from all 23 counties and Baltimore City.

“I am honored to be chosen by my colleagues and peers throughout the state to help represent our collective interests with our partners in Annapolis. I humbled to be included in such a great group of people.”

The MACo Board of Directors is made up of 16 county elected officials. These county leaders are selected by the MACo membership to serve the interests of the Association, oversee its management and strategic direction, and maintain and develop relationships with other parties with whom MACo and counties regularly interact.
