Garrett County Planning Sesquicentennial Celebrations

Planning is officially underway for sesquicentennial celebrations for Garrett County in 2022. Led by the Garrett County Government, the 150th-anniversary celebration will be a yearlong event to commemorate the incorporation of Garrett County on December 4, 1872.

“We’re proud of our county and the bright future we have in front of us,” said Paul Edwards, Chair of the Board of Garrett County Commissioners. The celebration will be a county-wide event involving the Towns, communities, and citizen groups highlighting our rich local history. Look for more information in the near future.”
